We are a Colorado-based team of Parenting Coordinator Decision-Makers (PCDMs) dedicated to helping co-parents reduce conflict and make child-centered decisions outside of the courtroom. With a deep understanding of Colorado family law and a commitment to neutrality, we provide timely support and binding decisions when needed—so families can move forward with clarity and stability. Our focus is always on the best interests of the children and helping co-parents find practical, respectful solutions.
Bob graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1983 and has been practicing law for more than thirty-seven years. He limited his practice to family law over twenty-five years ago and has handled thousands of cases. Sometimes the facts of cases seemed made up and gave light to the expression that the ‘truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.’ Over the years Bob has seen patterns in cases and has gained a great sense of how a case will be decided if the parties ended up in Court.
One common factor that greatly impacts divorces is emotion. Emotion is often the fuel for disputes. Because Bob was dealing with emotional issues in cases, he thought it would be very helpful if he understood emotional issues better. So, he returned to school after practicing family law for twenty plus years and received a Masters Degree in Psychology/Counseling from Regis University in 2010. He worked full-time as a divorce lawyer and was a part-time student. After graduating from Regis, Bob worked part-time as an unlicensed Psychotherapist for two years. The Psychology/Counseling degree gave him great insight into his cases and allowed him to better understand his client’s needs and the dynamics of his cases.
Family law disputes come in many different shapes and sizes. Some couples have been together for decades; others for only a short time. Some are parenting together, while others are not. Some families are financially secure, while others are overwhelmed by debt. And while some parents are navigating co-parenting with relative ease, others are dealing with serious emotional or logistical challenges.
But no matter the circumstances, parenting disputes eventually need resolution—and dragging them through the courtroom isn’t always the best path forward. Over the years, Bob has seen families spend enormous sums and emotional energy litigating even day-to-day parenting issues.
That’s where Parenting Coordinator Decision-Maker (PCDM) work comes in. With PCDM services, co-parents can get timely help managing conflict, implementing parenting plans, and resolving disputes—without waiting months for a judge to weigh in. When parents can’t agree, Bob has the authority to make binding decisions that keep things moving and keep the focus on the kids.
Bob brings the same strengths to his PCDM work that he’s known for in mediation: he’s detail-oriented, strategic, and deeply knowledgeable about how courts approach parenting disputes. With years of family law experience, he’s committed to helping Colorado families reduce conflict and make sound, child-focused decisions outside the courtroom.
